The Day After

I'm in a post-holiday slump.

It's always hard to get back to real life after a break from the norm.

The Fourth of July is turning out to be one of my favorite holidays.

It's much less stressful than Thanksgiving or Christmas.

No big feasts to plan or large family gatherings to attend.

Just us and the princesses, with a couple of friends, hanging out, grilling burgers, watching our neighbors explode several thousands of dollars in the air.

Laid back, low key, simple.  Love it.

Hubby tried to convince the princesses that matches made great fireworks.  They didn't buy it.

I hope you had a happy 4th!

  1. I like the match aka fireworks photo! We bought snappers for our little one and she giggled so hard I thought she was going to fall over. Good stuff!

  2. What fun pictures! We are pooped out too! But we had a lot of fun! Have a great night!

  3. Amen sister! We have both our families living right here (they actually live a street apart) so holidays can be a total pain sometimes. This was the most relaxing holiday we've had in awhile.

It looks like your girls had a blast with the sparklers and fun! So glad you had a great fourth!

  4. I love the 4th of July. It is my favorite holiday. Fireworks! Oh how I love fireworks! The name of your blog is so dang cute! One meltdown at a time! Bwahaha! Little girls! :D

  5. your hubby cracks me up... belated happy 4th!

Let me know what you think!
