Remember this cereal?
"It IS cereal mommy."
... I crumbled like a... well, like a cookie.
Apparently is it still as yummy as it was 25 years ago. Not that I would know. Because I haven't eaten 3 bowls one single, solitary cookie...
(and no, the irony and humor of this post immediately following my post about our lovely garden and wanting to eat as naturally and as close to the source is not lost on me. Cookies are natural... right? Right?)
I have caved on that one too...
ReplyDeleteOf course they are - it has natural stuff in it somewhere! LOL
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea how much I adore the picture of princess #3 slurping up her milk from her bowl....that is soooo Paige! Oh, it makes me smile to know what good friends they'd be. :)
ReplyDeleteI remember begging and begging for Cookie Crisp cereal as a kid and my mom never budged. "that's just a box of cookies, it's not healthy" (funnily enough, she never had a problem buying me Fruit Loops. ?? LOL). But one weekend I was staying with my auntie and she bought me the coveted cereal. And I thought Cookie Crisp was disgusting. LOL!
I'm not the healthiest girl on the block, but my favorite cereal has always been Bran Flakes. :p
p.s. When did the Cookie Crisp "mascot" become a wolf? Didn't it used to be a thief wearing a mask?
ReplyDeleteAh, Melissa. I did the same begging - all to no avail. My mom wouldn't spend the money. Of course, she'd also crumble like a cookie if my girls asked her for it now. LOL My fave cereal is Grape Nuts, so we might just be two peas in a pod. I know our girlies are!
ReplyDeleteI love cookie crisp cereal...it's totally all natural...or at least because it's a "vintage" type cereal it gives the appearance of being more natural...I don't know how but trying to help you out...lol Keep on NOT eating it ;-) ~Kimberly

LOL!
ReplyDeleteLOL oh my gosh you know what? I did this with Pops the other day. My son grabbed it and got it into the cart without me knowing till we got home (I know, not paying attention on my part) I snacked on it all day...I forgot how good cereal was! ha
ReplyDeleteYour last post inspired me to watch Food Inc...good stuff...just think corn fillers. :) 'Nuf said. (And BTW, I loved Cookie Crisp too...just waiting for my little princess to start asking for it.)
ReplyDeleteoh yeah, I remember that cereal! My parents wouldn't buy it, but I would have it sometimes at friend's houses. We don't buy sugary cereal at our house, but when we go camping it is tradition for us to buy cocoa puffs for the kids. Good memories for them! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I used to LOVE this cereal!! I haven't had it in years, but now I'm probably going to think about it for days...thanks. haha!
